- Children under 2 years of age
- Hypersensitivity to any component, to egg, soya or peanut protein, or to corn
- Inborn errors of amino acid metabolism
- Severe hyperlipidaemia or lipid metabolism disorder with hypertriglyceridaemia
- Severe hyperglycaemia
- Pathologically elevated serum levels of any of the included electrolytes
